Why We’re Standing Up on No Kings Day
On June 14, people across the country will rise up under one banner: No Kings Day — a national day of action calling out political power that no longer listens, represents, or serves the people. It’s not just a protest. It’s a reminder: this country was never meant to have kings, and it sure as hell wasn’t meant to have politicians who act like them.
At Blue Anchor Project, we’re proud to be one of the national partners in this effort.
We didn’t join this because it’s buzzy. We joined because it’s real. Because every day, we hear from people across New England and beyond who are fed up with performative politics, broken promises, and elected officials who hide from the people they swore to represent.
Our role? The same as always:
Uplift community voices.
Confront silence with accountability.
Organize town halls, face-to-face conversations, and local power.
That’s what No Kings Day is about — showing up where others won’t, and making clear that public office is not a throne. It’s a job. And when our leaders stop doing theirs, we remind them who they work for.
We’ve added No Kings Day to our events calendar and will be participating alongside organizers across the country to make this day a powerful call to action. If you want to get involved, we’ll be sharing more details soon — or you can check our events page here for updates.
This moment isn’t symbolic. It’s strategic. And it’s growing.
No crowns. No excuses. No kings.
