What People Are Telling Us — And Why We’re Taking Action
At the Blue Anchor Project, we believe in listening before leading. Over the past few months, we've received direct responses from more than 600 people — through our online feedback forms, in-person events, and social media.
These weren’t “surveys.” These were raw, personal truths from people across the Northeast — parents, veterans, nurses, students, retired teachers, truck drivers, business owners — all responding to the same question: What’s keeping you up at night?
The answers weren’t scattered. They were consistent, urgent, and deeply human.
Democracy
More than anything, people told us they’re afraid of losing our democracy — not in theory, but in real time.
“Please follow the rule of law and keep our democracy most important over party.”
“Our Democracy is under attack, stop the orange lunatic!”
“Stand up & fight for our rights dammit!”
People aren’t just worried about elections — they’re worried about whether their voice still matters. They want elected officials to stop hiding behind party lines and start fighting for honor, truth and the rule of law.
Healthcare
Healthcare came up again and again — not as a policy debate, but as a daily struggle.
“Life-sustaining medications, treatment no longer available.”
“Leave Social Security and Medicare alone.”
“Healthcare is not a luxury. It’s survival.”
Whether it's the cost of insulin, the fear of medical debt, or concern over losing Medicare, people are calling for bold solutions, not performative soundbites.
Education
From public school funding to book bans, people are sounding the alarm on what’s happening in classrooms — and what’s not.
“Our kids deserve better than this.”
“We need truth in our classrooms, not culture wars.”
Parents and educators want schools that empower students, not systems that play politics with their futures.
Housing
The cost of living is driving people out of the communities they’ve lived in for decades. It’s not just a housing crisis — it’s an identity crisis.
“I work full time and still can’t afford rent.”
“They’re building condos for tourists while locals sleep in cars.”
People aren’t asking for handouts. They’re asking why housing is being built for profit, not for people.
Jobs & Wages
Even with a job, too many people are falling behind. There’s a growing disconnect between the headlines and the lived reality.
“They say the economy is great. For who?”
“I’m tired of being thanked for my labor while being paid scraps for it.”
The working class is speaking — and we’re listening.
This Is the Why Behind Our Work
We don’t exist to talk about politics. We exist to demand that elected officials face the people they serve and answer for the realities people are living every day.
That’s why we’re doing our Listening Tour. That’s why we’re hosting real, unscripted public town halls. That’s why we’re calling out the politicians who hide, and lifting up the ones who show up.
This isn’t just data. It’s direction.
And we’re following it — with urgency, with honesty, and with a backbone.
Want to host a community conversation in your town?
Want to help rebuild political power from the ground up?
