Blue Anchor Project Endorses Jordan Wood for U.S. Senate
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LEWISTON, MAINE — October 23rd, 2025 — The Blue Anchor Project, a grassroots voter engagement organization dedicated to amplifying community voices and holding leaders accountable, proudly endorses Jordan Wood for the United States Senate.
Born and raised in Lewiston, and a proud graduate of St. Dominic Academy, Jordan Wood embodies the heart and resilience of Maine. Energetic, charismatic, and deeply principled, he has spent years fighting for better jobs, fair wages, affordable housing, and accessible healthcare for working families across Maine and the nation.
At just 36 years old, Jordan is the youngest candidate in the race—but his experience far exceeds his years. With over a decade of work in Washington, D.C., and deep roots in Maine’s civic and political communities, he brings both the knowledge and the fresh perspective needed to make government work for the people—not the powerful.
Jordan is a steadfast ally of Maine’s Tribal Nations, advocating for the rights, sovereignty, and protections that Native communities were promised but too often denied. He is equally committed to revitalizing rural communities, protecting Maine’s natural resources, and ensuring future generations inherit a stronger, fairer country.
Through our community conversations and listening sessions across the state, the Blue Anchor Project has seen firsthand that Jordan Wood is respected and trusted by people from all walks of life. He is known for his kindness, his willingness to listen, and his genuine respect for the voices of everyday Mainers. After reviewing his responses to the Blue Anchor Project Candidate Questionnaire, our team found his values and priorities strongly aligned with the needs of working families and communities across Maine. His full questionnaire responses are available at blueanchorproject.com/endorsements.
“It’s time for a new generation of leadership,” said Liam Kent, Co-Founder of the Blue Anchor Project. “Jordan Wood represents what young people across Maine are thinking — he knows firsthand what it’s like to grow up here, to work hard, and to see how decisions made in Washington impact real communities. At 36, he brings the perfect balance of experience and perspective that our generation, and the ones before it, have been waiting for.”
“At 67, I’ve seen a lot of politicians come and go,” added Gerry Dubé, Co-Founder of the Blue Anchor Project. “What stands out about Jordan is his authenticity. He listens, he learns, and he leads with integrity. He understands the real struggles of working families and has the strength to stand up to power when it matters most.”
The Blue Anchor Project is proud to endorse Jordan Wood for the United States Senate. We believe he will fight tirelessly to defend democracy, protect working families, and stand up to Donald Trump’s dangerous agenda: ensuring the people of Maine come first.
